Looking for a Biomedical Equipment Technician position that includes working with experienced multi-functional logistics team supporting mission critical operations? Bring your expertise to this great opportunity in Williamsburg, VA.
This Serco supports the US Navy Deployable Medical Systems and Material Management contract.
Our team maintains and manages Deployable Medical systems to ensure the sailors are able to perform their missions successfully.
In this role, you will:
Ensure maintenance and quality control of the scientific equipment
Ensure equipment compliance with medical and mission requirements.
Solve unusually complex problems associated with analytical and scientific equipment that typically cannot be solved solely by referencing manufacturer’s manuals or similar documents.
Determine and recommends which products or services best fit the customers' needs.
Exhibit familiarity with a variety of the field's concepts, practices, and procedures.
Qualifications:
To be successful in this role, you must have:
Associates degree in Bio-Environmental/Public Health Technology related field or military equivalent.
5+ years' of hands-on scientific/analytical equipment maintenance experience on equipment utilized in disease control, soil/air/water testing, or other public health/environmental testing equipment.
Additional desired experience & skills:
A bachelor’s degree
7+ years' of experience in biomedical equipment testing and monitoring
Preferred:
Must be able to obtain and maintain a Common Access Card for the Military Installation at the Cheatham Annex Naval Base where this position resides on a military installation or within a government facility which requires US Citzenship.
