The Role Drives development and deployment of enterprise Continuous Improvement strategic initiatives.
Leads the implementation of continuous improvement initiatives and programs focused on improved cost, quality, schedule, and safety.
Ensure programs are integrated vertically and horizontally across organization.
Utilizes data-driven decision making to determine opportunities for improvement, with a constant value stream perspective.
Leverages structured problem solving methodologies to facilitate, coach, and train improvement teams.
Advocates for step-change performance improvements, including innovative technology.
Ability to influence and coach at all levels of the organization.
Analyzes and designs sequence of operations and work flow to improve efficiencies in plant and production facilities and equipment layouts.
Establishes methods for tracking and maximizing OEE.
Assists in the planning and design and implementation of new technology and facility improvements.
Must Have Bachelor's Degree and 9 years of relevant exempt experience; Master's Degree and 7 years of relevant professional experience; Ph.
D.
and 4 years of experience.
Newport News Shipbuilding requires a Bachelor's Degree in engineering from an ABET accredited program.
Nice to Have Knowledge of Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, and Word); Microsoft Access and Visio, CAD, VBA, SharePoint, Power BI, and SAP experience a plus.
Six-Sigma, Lean, PMP, and/or Agile Project Management Certification.
