SUMMARY
The CNC Set-up Operator is able to set-up, troubleshoot, operate, and adjust various manufacturing machines, under minimal supervision, used to produce composite pressure vessels.
Essential Functions: CNC Set-up Operator essential duties include, but are not limited to:
• Perform set-up of various production equipment including CNC controlled flow former, CNC controlled spinning machine, CNC controlled filament winding machine, CNC machining center, and other related equipment used in the manufacture of composite pressure vessels.
• Troubleshoot and resolve any issues with the machines noted above during manufacturing.
• Be capable of operating any of the machines noted above as required during engineering trials or in a production capacity.
• Make adjustments to the machines noted above to maintain the desired level of safety, quality, and productivity during manufacturing.
• Assist with the instruction and training of manufacturing personnel on the function and operation of various equipment.
• Participate in total quality management projects to achieve continuous improvement.
• Participate in LEAN manufacturing and SPC activities as required.
