The Role Oversees and manages the operational aspects of ongoing projects and serves as liaison between project management and planning, project team, and line management.
Reviews status of projects and budgets; manages schedules and prepares status reports.
Assesses project issues and develops resolutions to meet productivity, quality, and client-satisfaction goals and objectives.
Develops mechanisms for monitoring project progress and for intervention and problem solving with project managers, line managers, and clients.
The growing SSN(X) Program Office is seeking a highly energetic and self-starter to join the dynamic SSN(X) Program Office.
A successful candidate will have an acute attention to detail with in-depth experience developing and reviewing project plans and associated performance tracking metrics with strong computer skills (Microsoft Office products).
Be able to conduct performance analysis, trend analysis and variance analysis to identify performance pressure points.
Defines improvement projects aligned with business strategies.
Specifically defines, designs, documents, and implements continuous improvement programs to ensure programs are integrated across organization.
Analyzes improvement programs and potential results.
Establishes and maintains performance metrics to measure program success.
Installs process excellence supports for program governance, project reviews, communications, training, certifications and rewards.
Must Have Bachelor's Degree and 10 years of relevant exempt experience or Master's Degree and 8 year of relevant professional experience One of the following may be used as equivalent to Bachelor's Degree to meet minimum qualifications: NNS Apprentice School graduate Navy Nuclear Power School (NNPS) graduate Associate's Degree or other formal 2 year program and 2 years of relevant exempt experience or 4 years of relevant non-exempt experience Military Paygrade E-5 or above military experience High School/GED and 4 years combined of Manufacturing, Shipbuilding, Trades, Military experience or other relevant exempt experience High School/GED and 8 years combined of Manufacturing, Shipbuilding, Trades, Military experience or other relevant non-exempt experience Nice to Have Strong ability to communicate to all levels of leadership.
Possess the necessary verbal and written communication skills to successfully interface with various organizations throughout the company (and various job levels within those organizations).
Demonstrated ability to build teams with internal/external customers and within their own organization.
Experience or familiarity with EVM-based cost analysis, labor resource management, operational schedules, and managing operational objectives and tasks.
Analyze budget, manning and project plans, provide regular briefings to management on business performance, risks and recommend solutions.
Program Office experience preferred.
Security clearance or the ability to obtain and maintain a security clearance.
Six-Sigma certification a plus.
