The Role HII is looking for a highly motivated and dynamic Financial, Planning and Analysis Analyst (FP&A) to work as part of the corporate FP&A team.
This includes but is not limited to preparing financial presentations, capital expenditure analysis, industry/peer group comparisons, acquisition analysis, and ad-hoc requests.
We are looking for a motivated individual with strong analytical skills, coupled with finance and accounting experience.
This role reports to the Corporate FP&A Manager and works with divisional and corporate FP&A teams to develop materials that support the Corporate Finance leadership team and the CFO.
Responsibilities Supports the preparation of the annual operating plan Coordinates monthly forecast and reporting packages, including analysis of key performance indicators and risk and opportunities Prepares presentations for the executive and senior leadership teams and the board of directors Performs comparative analytics and monitors performance indicators, highlighting trends and analyzing causes of unexpected variance Utilizes financial planning software to develop forecasts, analytics and reports Support and collaborate with divisional and corporate teams to strengthen financial planning systems and processes Must Have Bachelor's Degree and 6 years of relevant exempt experience; Master’s Degree and 4 year of relevant professional experience Nice to Have Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Accounting, or Finance Experience with consolidating and modeling data Experience working with and supporting executive level business partners Strong analytical capabilities and technical skills Proven problem solving skills Strong interpersonal skills (verbal, written, presentation) Why HII We build the world’s most powerful, survivable naval ships and defense technology solutions that safeguard our seas, sky, land, space and cyber.
