Army Communications-Electronics Command (CECOM) Purpose: Valkyrie Enterprises has an immediate need for an intermediate Operations Specialist who will be key in providing support for incidents occurring on vessels in port, in transit, and worldwide and ensure when traveling to support vessels overseas, meet all commercial and military deployment requirements in Newport News, VA.

Army Communications-Electronics Command (CECOM) Software Engineering Center (SEC) Tactical Communications Enabler Branch - Army Watercraft System C5ISR Sustainment Branch (AWS-CSB).
Assist Business Analyst in the daily tasks required.
These tasks will include reporting, purchases, funding, data entry, administrative support, travel, and other tasks required.
Should have good communication (verbal and written) and be detail oriented.
Associates degree is preferred but not required.
Support a variety of C5ISR systems and systems integration programs.
Assist in the sustainment of C5ISR assets on Army Watercraft including technical, repair, and sustainment services of C5ISR assets and suites of equipment installed on Army Watercraft System (AWS) vessels and platforms.
Directly assist the Business Analyst in accomplishing the many support tasks and requirements for this effort.
Support tasks to include but not limited to: Reporting Purchases Funding Data Entry Administrative Support Travel Assess complex data systems and programs in support of ad-hoc and standing management or customer requests.
Creates methodologies, and files for analyzing and presenting data.
Examines data quality, applications, and functions.
Produces output and sustains operation.
Researches new data sources and analytical tools.
Developsawareness of and familiarity with issues and events affecting organization, department, and/or customer.
Uses and supports database applications and analytical tools.
Uses timely and appropriate participation of users/customers in data collection and query systems.
Provide accurate and appropriate interpretation of data, applying knowledge to evaluation, analysis, and interpretation of data.
Works with management and/or customers to develop and understand product specifications.
Communicate regularly and effectively with team members and management, and communicates results effectively to management and/or customers.
Delivers data products in report/presentation format, or verbally, to management and/or customer specifications and timelines.
Points out system or process problems when noticed and engages the team in problem solving.
Provide support to the Government to address reported IRs by phone, email, or on-site.
Help manage aspects of the company’s daily operations to ensure operational efficiency.
Qualifications: Must have a High School Diploma or equivalent and at least 4 years of experience as a Operations Specialist or similar duties/roles.
Must be able to examine data quality, applications, and functions.
Must be able to research new data sources and use analytical tools.
Must be able to multiple-task simultaneously and assist in management activities and must be detailed-oriented.
Must have excellent organizational, people management, communication (written and verbal), and problem-solving skills.
Desired Qualifications: Prefer an Associates Degree.
Prefer previous experience supporting Army Watercraft System C5ISR Sustainment Branch (AWS-CSB).
Prefer experience pertaining to the C5ISR assets installed on Army Vessels/Platforms.
Security Requirements: Must have an Active DoD Secret security clearance and the ability to maintain one.
Travel Requirements: Frequent travel; 25% or less.
Travel will be outside and within the United States and will include urgent support at other locations worldwide.
Will be based in Newport News, VA and will travel, periodically, to accomplish repairs.
Position requires travel by domestic flight or access to secure federal facilities/military bases, candidate must be able to obtain (by start of position) and maintain appropriate identification credentials, such as REAL ID.
