*As a Hospice ON CALL Registered Nurse, here’s a big-picture view of what you’ll do:*
* Provide hospice patient care after-hours and weekends, as needs arise for our patients
* Enable patients to spend quality time with loved ones and participating
* Work as part of an interdisciplinary team comprised of a physician, LPN, CNA, HHA, social worker, chaplain and volunteers to carry out the patient’s plan of care.
* Perform patient assessments, check vitals, evaluate breathing, monitor pain, administer prescribed medication and treatments.
* Ensure accessibility of medical equipment, prescribed oxygen, medication and other supplies
* Educate family on the patient’s prognosis, changes in care plan, medication and hospice goals.
* Take a holistic approach to care that engages the patient’s mind, body, spirit and family.
*A few must-haves for our Hospice ON CALL Registered Nurses:*
* Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license
* CPR certification
* Valid car insurance
* Prior Hospice experience strongly preferred
* Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
* Proficiency in medical terminology and understanding of Hospice nursing care
* Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
* Triaging any emergent needs and collaborating with physicians to provide comfort and quality care to each patient
* Communicating with medical professionals, the hospice team and others
* Maintaining accurate, up-to-date records
* Providing services in accordance with agency policies and regulations that define scope of practice

Salary: $67,496.
