Project Manager- Biomedical

The essential functions of the job include but are not limited to the following: Display effective customer service in accordance with annual satisfaction survey protocol, maintain good personal relationships with fellow workers, nursing and medical staff, vendors, manufacturers, and the general public.

Ensures cooperative effort across the organization on tasks and issues on assigned projects.
Ability to work effectively with multiple levels of organizational staff from front line to project leaders and organizational leaders.
May assist in or conduct in-service educational training on the proper use and operation of equipment and/or systems.
Strong work ethic and ability to work as a member of a team.
Support Senior Project Managers on large-scale projects.
Monitor project results against plan and respond to, and coordinate, requests for changes to original project plan.
Develops project plans specifying goals, strategy, staffing, scheduling, identification of risks, contingency plans and allotment of resources for each phase of the project, and arranges for recruitment or assignment of project personnel.
Formulates and defines technical scope and objectives of project for project personnel if required.
Directs and coordinates activities of project personnel to ensure project progress is on schedule and within prescribed budget.
Reviews project status and modifies schedules and plans as required.
Assist in transitioning start-up account to operational status and personnel.
When assigned, provides temporary operational field support acting as Senior BMET or Supervisor.
When assigned, assists with quality assurance assessments, and drives continuous improvement actions for compliance with the Medical Equipment Management Program and ISO13485.
New Business Implementation SME, including management of inventory teams, inventory software, data alignment and CMMS.
Perform other duties as assigned that are intrinsic to the successful operation of Company.
Documents and presents project management results through the development of criteria and reports, ensures that projects meet established objectives and creates an evaluation plan to ensure that the implementation plan achieves goals.
Prepares reports and updates as needed, and keeps the appropriate manager informed of progress.
Establishes standards and procedures for project reporting and documentation.
Maintain detailed project documentation including meeting minutes, action items, issues lists and risk management plans.
Reviews project status and modifies schedules and plans as required.
QUALIFICATIONS: EDUCATION: Associates degree in biomedical equipment technology, electronic equipment technology, or military training preferred.
An equivalent combination of education and experience can be substituted.
Certification(s) preferred i.
e.
CHTM, CBET, A+, etc.
Certified Associate Project Management Certification (CAPM) or willingness to obtain within 24 months of hire.
EXPERIENCE: Minimum of five (5) years servicing a broad representation of clinical/patient care equipment in a hospital environment, including project management.
Leadership ability required.
Experience in supervision of on-site hospital technicians preferred.
