Electrical Engineer II

The Project Engineer works with the Project Manager(s) to develop design concepts which are incorporated into the final product by Staff Designers and Engineers.
In this role, you will need to be comfortable working both as a technical designer and also as a project manager assigned to oversee specific jobs from beginning to end.
The ability to proactively use available resources such as books, industry publications, experienced colleagues, and review of past projects is essential to success in this position.
_*Typical Duties*_ * Producing sketches and system schematics for complicated design tasks * Preparing and delegating preliminary task lists * Incorporating design concepts from schematic design into design development * Coordinating design clearances * Selecting details * Documenting existing conditions * Troubleshooting of existing installations and designs * Editing construction specification sections * Attending construction meetings and producing site observation reports (occasional local travel required) * Producing final punch lists * Researching non-routine code issues * Preparing addendums and change orders * Preparing opinions of probable cost for materials and systems and reviewing contractor cost estimates * Value engineering * Putting own work through the quality control review process * Reviewing technical work of others * Applying P.
