ITA is seeking a Contract Administrator to join the team at ITA HQ located in Newport News, VA.
Responsibilities:
The Contracts Administrator will play a key role in supporting a wide range of contracting activities.
This includes involvement in proposal development, administration, and close-out processes to ensure maximization of business results and adherence to corporate policy and government regulations.
Primary duties include but are not limited to:
The review and analysis of Requests For Proposals (RFPs).
Assist with invoice processing.
As necessary, learn to review all types of government contract awards and prime contractor awards, including: analyzing and evaluating terms and funding, reviewing for compliance with bid, negotiating provisions, and mitigating risk.
Support and perform external government personnel and teaming partners liaison activities.
Work with internal customers to assist in the development of process notification letters to customers.
These letters address scope changes, limitations of cost and funds, operational issues, and requests for modifications or adjustments.
Additionally, collaborate closely with the finance department on backlog reports, funding reports, and performance metrics.
Learn to support contracts and subcontracts reports and deliverable requirements to the customer when necessary
Assist with contract close-out activities, as required.
Learn to monitor assigned subcontractor performance and funding; assist with the negotiation and coordination of subcontract modifications, and subcontract close-out activities, as required.
Support and develop positive working relationships with contracting officers of the U.
S.
government, prime contractors, the DCMA and other related organizations.
Assist with special projects, as assigned.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in business, finance, or related field.
Exposure to and knowledge of professional business administration processes.
Exposure to and knowledge of the legal implications of contract compliance.
Superior time management skills and proven ability to multitask
Proficient in Microsoft Office, specifically MS Word, Excel.
Strong Organizational skills and follow-through, internally and externally, to provide a positive customer or stakeholder experience
Excellent verbal, interpersonal and written communication skills
Ability to work in a team environment
Self-directed with the ability to work with a sense of urgency to complete tasks and meet deadlines
Ability to handle confidential documents and information.
Desired qualifications:
Knowledge of contractual requirements related to Department of Defense contracts
Contracts management exposure
Knowledge of Deltek CostPoint
Proficiency in Power BI or data visualization tools.
