Vintage Zenith Trans-Oceanic Radio - Model 8G005
Here's an absolute beauty, and these rarely come up for sale.
My dad passed, who had the 1st TV repair shop in Ports.

in going thru his items, found this.

in 1947, this was the first post war shortwave radio made by Zenith.
With the neat brass surround, the front information compartment, all tubes (of course), also has the original wave-magnet antenna mounted in the back compartment, AND the antenna rod that pulls out from the top.
I'm no tech, but this does work, once you let the tubes warm up.
I put a new a/c cord on it, since original was cracking so bad, but that's all I've done to it.
Appears to be all original.
