Job Details Description Who We Are Founded in 1926, the Colonial Williamsburg Foundation is a private, not-for-profit educational, historic, and cultural institution that owns and operates one of the largest and best-known museum complexes in the world.

Today, Colonial Williamsburg is the largest living history museum in the U.

The Historic Area is the 301-acre restored colonial capital with 88 original buildings and 525 buildings reconstructed to how they appeared in the 18th century through extensive archaeological, architectural, and documentary research.
The Historic Area is staffed by highly trained, historically dressed interpreters and expert tradespeople who bring the 18th century to life.
The Foundation also owns and operates two world-class museums, the DeWitt Wallace Decorative Arts Museum, and the Abby Aldrich Rockefeller Folk Art Museum, and a renowned research library, the John D Rockefeller Jr Library.
Additionally, Colonial Williamsburg is home to five world class accommodations at the Williamsburg Inn, Williamsburg Lodge Autograph Collection, the Griffin Hotel, the Williamsburg Woodlands Hotels and Suites and the unique Colonial Houses in the Historical Area.
Visitors may also indulge in food and drink at our many on site restaurants and taverns that blend a historically inspired dining experience with today’s evolved tastes.

About the Position This position will have a primary emphasis on the design, development and delivery of DEI learning content and experiences necessary for strengthening cultural competence across the Foundation.
As a learning specialist, responsibilities would include providing focused, high quality, high-impact learning solutions, programs and resources in flexible and accessible ways that will enable Colonial Williamsburg employees and leaders to acquire the knowledge, skills, abilities, experiences, and relationships needed to thrive personally and professionally.
Essential Functions: Design and deliver in-person, virtual and on-demand DEI learning content and experiences at the staff and leadership levels to support Inclusion, Diversity, Equity & Accountability (IDEA).
Partner with leadership to implement the DEI capability maturity model across HR disciplines to effectively embed DEI best practices in policies, procedures and programs.
Establish a comprehensive set of metrics to measure the impact of our programs in driving inclusive behaviors in the workplace.
Assist with analysis of organizational metrics (e.
g.
, attrition, performance, workforce demographics, promotions, terminations, new hire and more) to track and monitor ongoing DEI progress across the Foundation.
Consult and partner with leaders at all levels across the Foundation to surface learning and development needs and develop plans to address those needs ensuring alignment with mission, values, strategic plans, and operating priorities.
Assists in development and delivery of new and existing curricula and programming that targets core CW competencies, advances an inclusive culture and builds the leadership skills necessary for effectively executing CW talent management practices.
Evaluate course/ program effectiveness and use feedback to continuously improve.
Effectively use and maintain CW’s learning management system and online learning academies.
Identify relevant and engaging material to host in a complex, resource constrained environment.
Manage and execute on the employee learning experience.
Performs other related duties as assigned.
Required and Preferred Education and Experience: Required: Ability to perform the duties of the position, usually acquired through a related bachelor’s degree and 3 - 5 years of experience and training in the DEI learning space.
Background in instructional design and delivery (ADDIE preferred) of adult learning theory, principles, practices, techniques.
Preferred: DEI certification, Intercultural Development Inventory (IDI), knowledge & experience with UKG Qualifications: Strong interpersonal, facilitation and communication skills working with diverse audiences.
Demonstrated ability to develop training plans, course curriculum, training guides and support material.
Strong data analysis & reporting skills Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Applications, Learning Management Systems, and Online Learning and/or Survey Platforms
