Virginia Health Services is hiring an experienced Nursing Education and Training Coordinator Assistant Instructor, LPN!
The Nursing Education and Training Coordinator Assistant Instructor has the following responsibilities:
Provides clinical supervision to Nurse Aide students under the guidance of the Director of Education.
Assists Nurse Aide students with Nurse Aide skills review sessions and provides feedback to the Primary Instructor.
Provides inservice education to nursing staff through group and individual sessions.
Participates in new hire orientation and onboarding of new nursing staff
Covers facility staffing needs when not performing educational program duties.
Complies with all established policies and procedures.
Promotes and demonstrates positive customer service towards VHS, co-workers, residents and visitors.
Performs other duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS:
Must be able to perform the above stated essential duties and responsibilities.

Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing and holds current, unrestricted Virginia license.
2 years of direct client geriatric care experience as a licensed practical nurse required.
Satisfactory completion of a course in teaching adults, such as a Train-the-Trainer for Nurse Aide Instructors or have experience teaching adults or high school students.
Computer knowledge strongly preferred.
Current drivers’ licenses in good standing.
Ability to read, write, analyze, and interpret information.
While performing the essential functions of this job, the employee is regularly required to walk, turn, bend, stoop, lift, push, pull, reach, talk, hear, taste and smell.
Must be able to lift, push, pull, and move up to 50 pounds.
Risk of exposure to blood borne pathogens and hazardous materials.
