NEMT Driver

*Responsibilities* * Adhere to all traffic laws and regulations while driving.
* Assure participants are delivered to appointments in a timely manner.
* Follow established schedules, adjusts schedules to meet unanticipated changes, and determines the safest and most efficient pick-up and delivery routes.
* Assist passengers on and off the van in a safe and courteous manner.
* Inspect vehicle and maintain it clean, orderly, and safe condition before and after each pick-up/drop-off.
* Provide excellent customer service by interacting professionally with clients during service.
* Complete driver logs electronically or on paper accurate record of trips information each time the vehicle is used.
* Ability to interact professionally and respectfully with geriatric individuals including those with cognitive decline and/or physical frailties.
* Ability to work independently with minimal supervision *Qualifications* * Must be able to hear staff/clients on the phone and those who are served in-person, and speak clearly in order to communicate information to clients and staff * Valid VA Driver's License and a clean driving record * Must be able to work effectively in a team environment and operate handicap-accessible vehicles.
* Must pass background check and drug screening.
Experience: * Commercial driving: 1 year (Preferred) * Delivery driver experience: 1 year (Preferred) * Driving: 1 year (Preferred) License/Certification: * Driver's License (Virginia, DC or Maryland ) Work Location: In person Please submit your resume along with a copy of your driving record for consideration.
