CDL Class B Driver Interstate

*Aldora Aluminum and Glass Products, *an industry leader in glass and aluminum fabrication, has an opening for a licensed and experienced *Interstate* *CDL Class B driver *to transport finished goods (glass) from our manufacturing plant in *Newport News, Virginia* to customers in the region.
_*Required: *__valid license and a current Medical Examiner Certificate.
_ *Full-Time/Work schedule*: Monday – Friday *Responsibilities* * Transport finished goods (glass) from manufacturing plants to customers * Follow planned routes and meet delivery schedules * Document and log work/rest periods and miles spent driving and retain fuel * Comply with truck driving rules and regulations (size, weight, route designations, parking and break periods) as well as with company policies and procedures * Maneuver trucks into loading or unloading positions * Collect and verify delivery instructions * Report defects, accidents, and violations * Inspect and document vehicles for mechanical and safety issues *Skills* * Valid CDL truck driving license and valid medical certificate * Recent work experience as a truck driver * Hands on experience with electronic equipment and software (GPS, AVL units) * Extensive knowledge of applicable DOT truck driving rules and regulations * No recent moving or driving violations * Adaptability and foresight to handle unexpected situations (traffic, weather conditions etc) *Benefits:* * 401(k) & matching * Health, Dental, Vision and Voluntary Life insurance * Paid time off + holidays * Home daily License/Certification: * CDL B (Required) with a valid Medical Examiner Certificate * DOT Drug & Alcohol testing *Aldora is a drug free workplace; all applicants must be able to pass pre-employment drug screen.
