Summary Join our technical support team, we are looking for skilled engineer maintenance technicians to help support the U.
S.
Army.
The selected personnel will be performing duties that help conduct preventive maintenance checks & services (PMCS), engineering maintenance and systems validation checks on Landing Craft Utility (LCU-2000) at Fort Eustis, VA.
What You Will Do Provides technical support to engineers on a variety of technical tasks.
Gathers, maintains, formats, compiles, and manipulates technical data, such as laboratory or material test results and engineering design changes.
Produces engineering documentation, reports, drawings (flow charts, block diagrams, and schematics).
Performs detailed mathematical calculations using established formulas; preliminary analyses of data where guidelines are provided in such areas as trajectory adequacy, model dimensional consistency; and quantitative judgments concerning technical data.
Uses personal computer in performance of analyses and development of documentation/reports.
May conduct tests and record data to assist with engineering evaluation or analysis.
What You Must Have Associates Degree or other 2 year technical degree in related discipline and 1 year of related experience; or High School Diploma or equivalent and 3 years related (DoD/USN) experience.
Must have preventive maintenance checks & services (PMCS) experience.
Must have hands on experience with the following systems and associated equipment; propulsion, hydraulics, piping, pneumatic, electrical and power generation.
Must have a current, active DoD secret security clearance or higher.
Must be able to obtain access credentials within the first 60 days of hire and maintain credentials throughout employment.
Preferred: Bonus Points For Candidates with 88L10/20 transportation school certification or higher are highly desired.
Candidates with hands-on maintenance experience on Landing Craft Utility (LCU-2000) or other US Army watercraft systems highly desired.
Prior shipboard maintenance experience preferred.
Experience with Cummins and/or Caterpillar engines a plus.
Physical Requirements Job performance requires adequate visual acuity and manual dexterity for meeting the requirements of the job.
A waterfront office work environment is normally encountered.
