Position Overview: Koniag Management Solutions (KMS) is looking for a highly qualified Software Developer to support our government customer located in Fort Eustis, VA.
This opportunity offers the chance to work with some of the best and brightest minds in the Department of Defense (DoD) and US Industry to develop and implement Training and Education (T&E) products and support services for the Department of the Army and its Army Virtual Learning Environment (AVLE) 2.

Essential Functions, Responsibilities & Duties may include, but are not limited to: AVLE 2.
0 is a revolutionary concept that will shift the way the Army develops and delivers training and education products to the total force.
AVLE 2.
0 leverages new learning using technologies in courseware design and delivery to enable the execution of rigorous, relevant, and tailorable learning content at the point of need.
The AVLE 2.
0 provides a total Army capability that will enable a dynamic learning environment to support the Active, Reserve and Army Civilian professional workforce with products developed at the newly defined interactivity levels of 0 through 4.
AVLE 2.
0 provides the Army with the ability to achieve a more effective and efficient T&E environment that will establish the conditions that are vital for the preparation of mission-ready Soldiers, leaders, civilians and organizations.
AVLE 2.
0 provides T&E, which can be delivered anytime and anywhere, with or without an instructor, to new and varied delivery platforms.
The successful candidate will provide the following: Provide software development in support of Digital Learning Content Object Applications Develop Interactive Multimedia Instruction (IMI) as Learning Content Objects, Reusable Learning Content Objects, SCORM® Learning Content Objects, and SCORM® Reusable Learning Content Objects IAW regulation (TR 350-70) and Data Item Descriptions (DID) Perform Technical testing including playability testing, compliance with learning standards in accordance with the Army Business Rules and Best Practices for Distributed Learning, Army Acceptance Criteria, Technical Alerts and General Alerts, and similar design and performance requirements and criteria.
Collaborate with instructional designers, subject matter experts, and other stakeholders to understand the functional requirements and specifications for AVLE 2.
0 Design and implement software solutions, including immersive multimedia or computer-simulated virtual or augmented reality experiences.
Program and develop SCORM 2004 3rd Edition scoring functionality, ensuring successful tracking, and reporting of learner progress and achievement.
Develop CMI5 scoring functionality, enabling seamless interoperability and data exchange between different learning systems.
Write efficient, maintainable, and well-documented code.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate AVLE 2.
0 with other systems, such as learning management systems (LMS) or content management systems (CMS) Conduct thorough testing and debugging of AVLE 2.
0 software to ensure quality, reliability, and performance.
Stay updated with emerging technologies, standards, and best practices related to virtual learning environments, SCORM, CMI5, and immersive multimedia experiences to inform software development efforts.
Collaborate with team members to ensure timely delivery of software components and meet project milestones.
Provide technical support and troubleshooting assistance to users, addressing software-related issues and inquiries.
Maintain accurate documentation of software architecture, design, and technical specifications.
Work Experience, Knowledge, Skills & Abilities: BS in Computer Science or Computer Engineering Minimum of five (5) years of experience in programming and developing successful SCORM@ 2004 3rd Edition scoring for Distributed Learning (DL) Minimum of two (2) years of paid experience developing successful CMI5 scoring for DL Experience with Level 4 IMI - immersive multimedia or computer-simulated virtual or augmented reality, in which the learner engages in a real-life scenario responding to sensory cues is a plus.
Knowledge of the US Army, TRADOC or The Army Distributed Learning Program (TADLP) is a plus.
Working Environment & Conditions This job operates in a professional office environment and has a noise level of mostly low to moderate.
This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines.
This position is primarily indoors, consistent with a standard office position and has a noise level of mostly low to moderate.
The incumbent is required to stand, walk; sit; use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls; reach with hands and arms; talk and hear.
The workload may require the incumbent to sit for extended periods of time.
The incumbent must be able to read, do simple math calculations and withstand moderate amounts of stress.
The incumbent must occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 lbs.
