Summary:
Responsible for ensuring the cleanliness and sanitation of dishes, tableware, glassware, pots and pans through manual and machine cleaning methods.
Organizational Relationship:
Report to the Event Manager/ Event Leads/ Chef

Duties and Responsibilities
1.
General Responsibilities
Setup and Breakdown for events, including tasks such as sweeping, mopping, dishes, taking down tables, putting chairs away, etc.
Bus tables as needed, delivering to dish area and separating as instructedWash and sanitize all dishes, utensils, pots and pans utilized by the tavern
Scrape, rinse and load dishes and utensils into the dish machine
Clean, sanitize and maintain the dish machine
Unload dishes and utensils and organize them in appropriate order
Empty trash receptacles
Maintain a clean work area and kitchen by sweeping and mopping
Clean food prep stations and equipment
Additional tasks as may be required
2.
Security; Compliance; Occupational Health & Safety
Ensure the building is properly secured if the last to leave for the evening
Ensure compliance with all applicable laws and regulations including, but not limited to,
ABC regulations, VDACS, OSHA
Immediately report any injury, accident and/or foodborne illness incident for customers and/or staff accurately to Senior Management
Immediately report any deficiencies in safety to both senior management and to the maintenance staff
Comply with relevant workplace safety regulations

Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent
Prior dishwashing experience in a restaurant
Ability to obtain and maintain a current food handler certification
Must be able to stand through an 8 hour shift, lift and carry at least 50 lbs, and comfortable with repetitive motions
Able to work nights, weekends and holidays
