Overview: This position is responsible for proper cleanliness and sanitation of the kitchen following health and safety sanitation regulations, as well as routine cleaning of dishes, glass and silverware as well as pots and pans.
Kitchen Utility employees are critical to the smooth operation of the kitchen, Reports to a Supervisor.
Responsibilities:
Clean and sanitize all cooking utensils, dishware, silverware, glasses, pots/pans and work areas.
Sweep and mop kitchen floors and take out kitchen trash/waste (compost BioBin food waste at loading dock).
Clean walls and shelves of both the kitchen area and walk-in freezers and refrigerators.
Restock dishes on the cook line.
Maintain positive communication and teamwork with all co-workers and supervisors.
Maintain a professional manner with the awareness that all actions and communications are within others view.
Maintain appearance and uniform standards.
Follow all policy, procedures, health and safety and service standards.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
Ability to work around high temperatures, cleaning detergents and chemicals.
Must be 18 years of age.
General knowledge of kitchen sanitation.
Must have excellent communication skills.
Ability to lift, push and carry a minimum of 50 pounds, stand for long periods of time in a hot environment and walk frequently.
Food Handler’s Card or ability to obtain within 30 days of hire.
Ability to work days, nights, weekends, holidays.
