The James City County Parks & Recreation Department seeks high-energy individuals to work in a team environment as a Recreation Leader for Neighborhoods and Special Events.
Work Schedule will be as needed including some nights and weekends.
*Responsibilities:* * Assists with planning, leading and/or coordinating neighborhood/special event activities and programs.
* Assists with activity/event logistics, set-up and breakdown for community events as needed.
* Provide transportation of participants to various programs.
*Requirements:* * Any combination of education and experience equivalent to a high school diploma; some work experience which shall have involved assisting the public, programming or childcare.
* A Virginia Criminal History Check, Sex Offender Record Check and Drug test * Must possess, or be able to obtain within sixty (60) days of hire, certification in First Aid and Cardio Pulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) for Professional Rescuers (Infant, Adults, and Child).
