We are seeking an Accounts Receivable Specialist/Billing Coordinator to join the team at ITA headquarters in Newport News, VA.
Responsibilities: Prepares accurate and timely billing vouchers for submission through WAWF and other designated websites.
Monitors A/R aging, proactively performs collection actions on overdue invoices, and may assist with reconciling A/R accounts.
Performs assigned G/L account reconciliations, identifies and takes corrective actions for discrepancies.
Assists with month-end and year-end closing processes, audit preparations, and weekly reporting for both A/R and projected cash flows.
Participates in contract closeouts by collaborating with other members of the finance department.
Maintains organized records of supporting documents for bills, including purchase requisitions, expense reports, and credit card receipts.
Possesses a fundamental understanding of revenue streams, billed and unbilled A/R, and cash cycles.
Grasps the concepts of Provisional Billing rates and DCAA Incurred Costs cycles.
Supports DCAA incurred costs and billing audits as needed.
Demonstrates flexibility and willingness to contribute to special projects assigned by the team.
Effectively interacts with internal and external customers to address inquiries and resolve issues.
Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or related with 3 years of relevant experience; or Associate’s degree with 5 years of experience; or high school diploma with 7 years experience.
Above average proficiency with the Microsoft Office suite (particularly Excel).
Must possess strong knowledge and understanding of terminology, codes, and processes in automated accounting systems, particularly Deltek CostPoint.
