Location: Onsite Overview The Budget Accountant works in a highly computerized environment and is responsible for the monthly preparation and analysis of estimated contractual adjustments, charity and bad debt, the preparation and filing of Medicare and Medicaid annual cost reports and settlements, the preparation and maintenance of annual budgets, Federal/State and Local tax returns, reporting to the state COPN Regulatory Authority, and cost analysis.
The Budget Accountant continuously assesses the theoretical integrity of accounting functions in the accounting department.
What you will do Complete complex accounting analysis requiring the application of accounting theory Monthly preparation and analysis of estimated contractual adjustments, charity and bad debt, the preparation and filing of Medicare and Medicaid annual cost reports and settlements Preparation and maintenance of annual budgets, Federal/State and Local tax returns, reporting to the state COPN Regulatory Authority, and cost analysis Interpret and communicate federal and state regulations.
Manage and assess priorities and deadlines Assess the theoretical integrity of accounting functions performed in the area of responsibility.
Recommend and implements improvements.
