The Senior Financial Analyst reports to the Controller and responsibilities include assisting with financial planning and budgeting processes, analyzing financial statements and reports, developing financial models, preparing projections, and performing research and analysis supporting the company’s top priorities.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Creating, reviewing and analyzing financial statements and reports.
Tracking KPIs and preparing financial reports.
Assisting with budgeting and budget variance reporting.
Assisting with monthly close processes.
Assisting operational leaders by analyzing financial performance and identifying key drivers of over or under performance
Developing financial projections and building financial models
Performing research and analysis as required
Ensuring compliance with financial guidelines, company and accounting policies and relevant legal regulations.
Assist with external audit requests and provide information as requested.
Work with financial team to create internal controls and policies.
Assist in revenue cycle analysis.
Identifying solutions to discrepancies in financial records.
Performs other duties as assigned.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS:
Advanced computer skills including Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint
Well organized, proactive and must be able to prioritize and meet deadlines in a fast-paced quickly changing environment.
Ability to adhere to highest standards of confidentiality and discretion in all proprietary business, financial and employee matters.
Excellent understanding of English, both written and verbal required; ability to communicate in a professional, knowledgeable, and courteous manner with employees, vendors and business contacts.
Ability to adhere to a high level of attention to detail.
Ability to maintain open, direct, positive, and objective lines of communication with management.
Ability to be self-directed in a team-oriented environment.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Strong supervisory and leadership skills.
Thorough understanding of generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP).
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance or Accounting
Five years of professional experience as a financial analyst, accountant or auditor OR valid Certified Public Accountant certificate with at least three years of professional experience as an accountant or auditor
HFMA designation preferred
