Chandler Residential is seeking a talented and detail-oriented Property Accountant to join our dynamic team at a prominent multi-family company.
As a Property Accountant, you will play a crucial role in managing the financial aspects of our diverse portfolio of multi-family properties.
Your primary responsibility will be to ensure accurate and timely financial reporting, budgeting, and analysis, contributing to the overall success and profitability of the company's real estate ventures.
Responsibilities:
*Financial Reporting:*
* Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements for multiple properties, ensuring accuracy and compliance with accounting standards and company policies.
* Reconcile bank accounts, general ledger accounts, and other financial records to maintain accurate financial data.
*Accounts Payable and Receivable:*
* Oversee the accounts payable process, ensuring timely and accurate payment of invoices, utilities, and other property-related expenses.
* Manage accounts receivable, including rent collection, tenant ledger reconciliations, and handling tenant inquiries related to financial matters.
*Financial Analysis:*
* Conduct financial analysis to identify trends, opportunities, and risks related to the company's property portfolio.
* Assist in evaluating potential property acquisitions or dispositions through financial modeling and due diligence.
*Process Improvement:*
* Identify opportunities for process improvements and implement best practices to enhance the efficiency and accuracy of accounting operations.
*Qualifications:*
* Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, or a related field.
CPA designation is a plus.
* Proven experience as an Accountant, preferably in the real estate or property management industry.
* Proficiency in accounting software QuickBooks online and Microsoft Excel.
* Strong understanding of GAAP and real estate accounting principles.
* Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills.
* Detail-oriented with a high level of accuracy in financial reporting.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
* Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks to meet deadlines.
* Knowledge of property management software and systems (One Site – RealPage) is an advantage.
